Clinical Observer - part-time nights

About the role

Are you passionate about patient care and safety? Meritus Health is seeking dedicated Clinical Observers to join our Nursing Services team.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation and personal care for patients requiring one-to-one support
• Assist with daily living needs: bathing, oral care, mobility, nutrition, and elimination
• Document patient interactions and observations accurately
• Identify and report behavioral changes or safety concerns to nursing staff
• Maintain a hazard-free patient environment and follow safety protocols during transport
• Support nursing assistants and serve as a preceptor for new team members

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to sit in quiet observation of patient for long periods of time without distraction
• Experience in customer service or team-based environments a plus
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient safety

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Continuous mental focus and communication
• Exposure to blood and body fluids
