About the role
The Arizona College of Nursing seeks qualified individuals to join our dynamic team of educators and professionals. Ideal candidates will bring clinical experience in med/surg nursing and a passion for teaching and mentoring future nurses.
Responsibilities
- Teach at least 36 credits annually in both didactic and clinical settings.
- Design and implement a learning environment that supports student success and addresses contemporary issues in nursing.
- Evaluate student learning through various assessment tools and provide timely feedback.
- Mentor students, develop success plans, and remediate "at-risk" students.
- Oversee clinical adjuncts, facilitate clinical practice, and communicate regularly with Course Lead Faculty.
- Complete clinical site evaluations, maintain records, and adhere to institutional policies.
- Collaborate with other team members to connect students to campus resources and support their success.
- Participate in policy development and governance structures, and provide input on admission, progression, and completion policies.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited program.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
- Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location.
- Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty preferred.
