Clinical Nursing Faculty

About the role

The Arizona College of Nursing seeks qualified individuals to join our dynamic team of educators and professionals. Ideal candidates will bring clinical experience in med/surg nursing and a passion for teaching and mentoring future nurses.

Responsibilities

• Teach at least 36 credits annually in both didactic and clinical settings.
• Design and implement a learning environment that supports student success and addresses contemporary issues in nursing.
• Evaluate student learning through various assessment tools and provide timely feedback.
• Mentor students, develop success plans, and remediate "at-risk" students.
• Oversee clinical adjuncts, facilitate clinical practice, and communicate regularly with Course Lead Faculty.
• Complete clinical site evaluations, maintain records, and adhere to institutional policies.
• Collaborate with other team members to connect students to campus resources and support their success.
• Participate in policy development and governance structures, and provide input on admission, progression, and completion policies.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited program.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty preferred.
