Clinical Nurse Specialist - Vascular Surgery/Medical PCU - Vascular Center - CNS

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Vascular Surgery and Medical PCU at the Vascular Center is responsible for providing expert clinical care, education, and leadership within the department. This role requires a strong background in vascular surgery and medical intensive care units.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care and education to patients and staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on vascular health and treatment options.
• Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to vascular surgery and medical PCU.

Requirements

• Masters degree in nursing with a specialization in clinical nurse specialist.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience in vascular surgery and/or medical intensive care units.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in vascular surgery and/or medical intensive care units preferred.
• Knowledge of vascular diseases and treatments.

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and other clinical software.
