About the role
The successful candidate will provide specialist clinical expertise in tissue viability care within the University Hospital Waterford. This includes assessment, treatment, and prevention of pressure ulcers and other forms of tissue damage.Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical advice on tissue viability management.
- Assess patients for risk factors and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and monitor treatment protocols for wound healing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct regular reviews of patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in wound care or related field.
- Advanced qualification in wound care or related specialty.
- Experience in managing complex cases and providing specialist wound care services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.
- Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMHC).
- Advanced qualifications in wound care or related specialties.
