About the role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). MSK is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families living with cancer.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership in evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.
- Support MSK's patients with cancer diagnosis and the nursing staff who care for them.
- Cookordination implementation of practice standards with colleagues across sites.
- Demonstrate positive quality outcomes as it relates to nurse-sensitive indicators and patient and staff satisfaction.
- Promote a patient-centered environment through collaboration with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes through abstract submission, podium presentation, and evidence-based research findings.
Requirements
- Current NY State RN license with CNS qualification required.
- (Current CNS Students can be considered if they are 6-12 months of graduation)
- Master’s in nursing
- National certification
- 3+ years of related oncology experience strongly preferred
- Experience in an advanced nursing role is strongly preferred
- Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential

- Location: MSK Koch, 530 East 74th Street
- Reporting to: The Associate Director, Evidence-Based Practice
- Schedule: This is a Day shift CNS position, 4 10-hour shifts, with weekend coverage.
- Pay Range: $136,400.00 - $225,100.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
