Clinical Nurse - Renal/Telemetry

About the role

Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards. Focuses on promoting patient and family-centered care, educating patients on managing their health, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develops individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and communicates effectively across care settings.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in safety initiatives, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering cultural, spiritual, and personal values.
• Ensure communication of care plans across teams and coordinate care to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate's degree.
• RN license.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Work environment

The role is based on a specialized unit caring for acutely ill patients with conditions such as renal failure, CHF, pneumonia, COPD, and post-surgical care. The position emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
