Clinical Nurse - Outpatient Infusion

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in an outpatient oncology infusion setting, administering therapies such as chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and port care. The nurse will develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, coordinate with the healthcare team, and educate patients and families on managing their illness and post-treatment needs. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, quality, compliance, and professional development. The role requires strong IV insertion and port access skills, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care and education
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and communicate effectively across care teams
• Maintain safety and adhere to standards of nursing practice

Qualifications

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred)
• Two or more years of RN experience, oncology experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, organizational skills
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment and float to other sites as needed
