Clinical Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery, Part Time Evenings

About the role

Registered nurses are needed to join a patient‑focused team on a short‑stay inpatient unit that provides care for Orthopedic, Spine, Urological, and Plastic Surgery patients. The role involves delivering direct patient care, assessing needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and educating patients and families on post‑treatment management. Nurses will also participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, promote a healing environment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and educate patients and families on post‑treatment management.
• Advocate for patient‑centered care and maintain clear communication across care teams.
• Participate in safety, quality, and compliance initiatives.
• Promote a healing environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in professional development and adhere to standards of nursing care.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Nursing diploma or associate’s degree (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (2 years preferred).
• Prior supervisory experience not required.
