About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a 32-bed oncology unit, serving patients with moderate to high acuity, including those on Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Oncology services.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
- Develop and document care plans, ensuring clear communication across care teams.
- Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
Requirements
- RN license with ADN or BSN; preferred Bachelor’s Degree with less than 2 years of experience.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work safely and alertly in a high-acuity environment.
