Clinical Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Role Overview

Lead and oversee emergency department operations, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and clinical functions. Manage daily activities, ensure policy compliance, and lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and care quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, coach, evaluate, discipline, and terminate staff as needed
• Oversee staff onboarding, education, and professional development
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
• Provide leadership support in the absence of other Clinical Managers

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required, MSN preferred
• Current Illinois RN license
• Current BLS/CPR certification; ECRN and TNS preferred, CEN desired
• Minimum of three years management experience
