About the role
AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital – Covington is seeking a Full Time Clinical Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Authorized and designated by the Chief Clinical Officer to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice.
- Ensures continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met.
- Acts as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.
- Focuses on quality and infection control data and measures for improved patient outcomes.
- Represents administration during any event occurring in their absence.
- Embraces and demands a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Responsible for fostering a positive milieu.
- Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
- Communicates with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Provides clinical support at the bedside.
- Mentors and educates using evidenced based practice.
Requirements
- Current RN Louisiana clinical licensure in good standing required.
- Quality, infection control experience preferred.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages desirable.
- Basic computer knowledge.
