Job Description

  • Maintains current professional knowledge and competencies.
  • Provides oversight of all nursing functions within the Division/Department.
  • Identifies and implements operational and quality program improvements.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, and retains nursing staff; coordinates work and vacation schedules; processes payroll; conducts performance reviews; conducts regular staff meetings; works with administration to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
  • Budgets, manages salary and wage expenditures, volume/revenue production, space, equipment planning and supply chain within the scope of service.
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical pathways, guidelines, and protocols in collaboration with physicians and clinical leaders in the department.
  • Works with team members to oversee the entire patient clinical experience to assure coordination, consolidation, and execution of patient care plans through all phases of the specialty service.
  • Hires, terminates, corrects, and reviews performance of direct reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree preferred.
  • License Registered Nurse required, and American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate required.
  • 3-5 years related work experience required and 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis, and maintain databases.

Social/Environmental Requirements

  • Close attention to task for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.

  • Reaching-below shoulder height.
  • Rarely there may be maintain crouch for > 5 minutes.

Pay Range

$150,000.00 USD – $220,000.00 USD
