Responsibilities

  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  • Care for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients.
  • Capturing and documenting appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
  • Professional accountability and development.

Requirements

  • RN (Registered Nurse) License.
  • Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing.
  • 2-year experience of ICU in an Acute Care setting.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

  • BayCare's staffing resource office is currently in search of experienced ICU nurses who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.
  • Positions details- Part-Time Region Float Pool ICU Location: Varies depending on region
  • Status: Part-Time-non-exempt
  • Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Every 3rd Friday & Saturday, in addition 2 Sundays in 6-week schedule
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person
