Responsibilities
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Care for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
- Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
- Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
- Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients.
- Capturing and documenting appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
- High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
- Professional accountability and development.
Requirements
- RN (Registered Nurse) License.
- Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing.
- 2-year experience of ICU in an Acute Care setting.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- BayCare's staffing resource office is currently in search of experienced ICU nurses who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.
- Positions details- Part-Time Region Float Pool ICU Location: Varies depending on region
- Status: Part-Time-non-exempt
- Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Every 3rd Friday & Saturday, in addition 2 Sundays in 6-week schedule
- On Call: No
- Always in person
