The Staff Nurse position offers a competitive salary range of $34.50 - $55.20 per hour, with placement within the range dependent on relevant work experience and internal equity. Responsibilities
- Assess and record patient status and identify care needs upon admission/point of care entry.
- Organize and validate diagnoses with patient/family and other health care team members.
- Develop and update a patient's individualized plan of care, incorporating age-specific care principles.
- Discuss the plan of care with the patient/family and ensure mutual agreement.
- Initiate a discharge plan at the time of admission, consulting with the patient/family and health care team.
- Identify and address patient teaching needs throughout the hospital stay.
- Plan and organize nursing interventions based on evidence and established standards.
- Provide individualized patient and family education grounded in evidence-based practice and research guidelines.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses systematically.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions in achieving desired outcomes.
- Communicate with patient/family and health care team members about patient care and nursing's role in care provision.
- Collaborate with patient/family and healthcare team members on the patient's progress and plan of care.
- Present relevant patient information at multidisciplinary meetings/conferences for feedback from peers.
- Made appropriate referrals as needed for continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and analytic skills.
- Experience in specific clinical areas preferred, but not required.
