About the role
The Clinical Nurse at El Camino Health is responsible for applying nursing processes and theories to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate, and modify patient care. They strive for quality outcomes and innovative practices in line with the California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other healthcare disciplines to deliver optimal, individualized patient care.
- Ensures the quality of nursing services provided by self or others under direction.
- Delivers care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Recent clinical nursing experience in PCR (Mother-Baby/L&D).
- Registered Nurse License - California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Academy of Pediatrics.
Qualifications
- Able to communicate in English and perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Able to organize, prioritize, and delegate appropriately.
Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of nursing theories and practices.
- Effective communication skills.

Schedule
Mixed schedule, including night shifts.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Medium Work - Requires standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently. Work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting.

This position serves patients one year of age and older.
