Clinical Nurse - GI Lab

Role Overview

Provides direct nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication use. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety and quality compliance. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors. Must work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring alertness and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on care management and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans with team and patient input.
• Assess and evaluate physical and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Licence: RN.
• PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience.
• EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required; supervisory experience not needed.
