Clinical Nurse - General Medicine

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a pediatric hospital setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment home care. The nurse will develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healing environment through patient and family education and support.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.
• Communicate and coordinate care plans across the continuum of care.
• Maintain safety-sensitive standards, working in a constant alertness state.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid RN license.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
• Prior pediatric nursing experience is preferred.

Schedule

Full-time position with day/night shifts and weekend and holiday rotations.
