Role Overview

Provides direct patient care in a medical-surgical oncology unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN license, and the ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
