Summary

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner assesses, develops, implements, and leads educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical Team Members. They create and oversee assigned clinical programs by completing needs assessments. They employ evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practice. They assist in clinical orientation of new Team Members, provide ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care Team Members, actively participate in the quality improvement process, act as a positive agent of change and communication, guide other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs, and provide virtual education and support to bedside RN's in Critical Care units throughout BayCare.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• BSN with 3 years of Clinical Experience OR bachelor's in a healthcare related field with 4 years of Nursing Education
• A background in the Operating Room is highly preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a BSN with 3 years of clinical experience or a bachelor's in a healthcare-related field with 4 years of nursing education.
• A background in the OR is highly preferred.
