About the role
Under minimum supervision, functions as a role model, facilitator, educator, leader, and consultant to staff and management personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in area of specialization
- Minimum Experience: 3 years clinical experience in nursing; demonstrates proficiency in computer word processing and presentation software; displays ongoing competence in area of expertise
- Preferred Experience: Experience in Staff Development or Nursing Education
- Required Certifications/Licensure: Possesses current Texas State Nursing License
- Preferred Certifications/Licensure: Certification in Professional Staff Development and/or Clinical Specialty
- Required Courses/Completions: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
