Responsibilities
- Affirms and maintains the professional competence of Free Standing Emergency Department Team Members through educational activities.
- Develops, implements, and leads clinical programs by conducting needs assessments.
- Employes evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practice.
- Assists in the clinical orientation of new Team Members.
- Provides ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care Team Members.
- Participates in the quality improvement process.
- Acts as a positive agent of change and communication.
- Guides other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs.
- Performs appropriate RN functions and other duties when assigned.
- Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with 3 years of clinical experience and nursing education experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field with 4 years of nursing education experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Florida.
