Clinical Nurse - Critical Care Float Pool

About the role

Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurses utilize a patient and family-centered approach to provide compassionate and high-quality care for children of all ages. Critical Care Float Pool RNs are assigned on a shift-by-shift basis to care for patients in one of the critical care units that includes CVICU, PICU, NICU and Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses including those with respiratory, neurological, traumatic, and cardiovascular diagnoses.
• Collaboratively work with a multi-disciplinary team to care for patients.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership on both days and nights to provide ongoing support.
• Work in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree.

Skills

Nurses in critical care require flexibility, strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and the desire to work in fast-paced and dynamic settings.

Pay

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule

Shifts are typically 12 hours long, rotating between day and night shifts. Night shift opportunities are currently available.
