About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you will ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. Collaborating with the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures. You will serve as a resource for staff and model the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in the ongoing assessment of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
• STABLE certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience.
