Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Labor and Delivery

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Labor and Delivery (L&D) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care by coordinating unit functions during shifts, supervising nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor nursing care, assist with patient admissions and discharges, and support efficient throughput.
• Collaborate with management and staff to foster teamwork, improve outcomes, and enhance patient experience.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to staff, participate in hiring, and assist with staff scheduling.
• Support engagement initiatives and serve as a resource for staff development.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (Bachelors preferred)
• Current RN licensure
• One year of nursing experience
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• Additional certifications such as Neonate Resuscitation and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within specified timeframes
• Preferred: National certification in specialty area
