Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Acute Care Medical and Oncology Unit

About the role

Coordinates and supervises nursing care on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Provides direct patient care, supervises staff, and assists with staff orientation, performance evaluations, and scheduling. Acts as a resource, mentors staff, and promotes evidence-based practices. Ensures regulatory compliance and effective resource use. Communicates with team members, addresses performance issues, and follows up on incidents. Supports unit policies, patient satisfaction, and a positive work environment aligned with Magnet principles.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supports unit improvements
• Manages staffing and monitors patient and bed triage
• Addresses performance and patient concerns
• Facilitates communication, documentation, and follow-through on issues
• Assists in policy interpretation and unit operations, ensuring regulatory standards are met

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or graduated from a nursing degree program (Bachelor's preferred)
