Responsibilities
- Coordination of clinical management of the vascular patient across the entire continuum of care.
- Manages and coordinates the vascular clinic and assures thorough patient evaluation and education for vascular procedures.
- Serves as a liaison for the vascular program and drives performance and improvement initiatives.
- Acts as a clinical resource and a role model for all areas caring for vascular patients.
- Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the vascular program and the hospital to promote awareness and education on vascular procedures.
- Collaborates in the development and delivery of care for the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Cardiology, Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Emergency Department.
- Proven ability to follow protocol specific care delivery.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Public speaking experience.
- Preferred: Interdisciplinary teamwork experience.
