Clinical Manager - Respiratory Therapy

About the role

We're seeking a Clinical Manager to lead our Respiratory Services team. This role involves overseeing respiratory therapies, oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and more. Key responsibilities include prioritizing department activities, developing policies, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, monitor, and control department activities and resources.
• Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend purchases and maintenance of department equipment and technology.
• Plan, organize, and develop departmental policies and procedures.
• Oversight of contracts and agreements related to respiratory and pulmonary services.
• Manage workforce, including recruitment, retention, scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
• Foster an environment conducive to innovation and patient care.
• Coordinate development and implementation of a Customer Satisfaction Plan.
• Work with physician stakeholders to develop and implement a continuous quality improvement program.
• Assist in developing marketing strategies for respiratory and pulmonary services.
• Assist in developing and maintaining departmental budgets and monitoring financial performance.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and respond to FDA-regulated medical device recalls.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with hospital values.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence.
• Document care and support operations using hospital systems.
• Seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Registered Respiratory Therapists.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Significant clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
• Possess RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Employees hired prior to 2004 must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications by December 31, 2006.
• Employees hired after January 1, 2005, must have these certifications within one year of hire date.

Pay

$79,248.00 – $130,104.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
