About the role
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a dynamic Clinical Manager to lead our innovative Homeless Services program. The role involves overseeing both our drop-in center and community-based outreach services, ensuring high-quality clinical care while managing administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead employees, maintaining team focus and direction.
- Hire, provide performance feedback and coaching, and fire employees in accordance with organization guidance.
- Maintain and approve work schedules and time off requests based on work volumes and staffing schedules.
- Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability.
- Cascade information from senior leadership to lower levels in alignment with organization strategy and goals.
- Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations.
- Define and monitor group-level performance indicators.
- Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
- Provide clinical supervision to therapists and other team members as appropriate.
- Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills.
- Handle complaints from clients and community agencies efficiently and satisfactorily.
- Develop new services to meet unmet or underserved needs in the community.
- Ensure that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.
- Interact with community agencies to improve services to clients and enhance the organization's image as a competent provider of mental health services and a committed and caring member of the community.
- Advocate for the organization's services in the community and at the state level, as appropriate.
- Ensure that revenues to pay for services are documented and billable by the business office and that the funding source is known to the billing office.
- Understand and adhere to budget for program.
- Complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in a license-eligible field.
- Licensure: Current Colorado licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD).
- Three years of experience working with the population served by the clinical area of responsibility, including administrative experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets organization's requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
- Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.
- Excellent management and communication skills.
- Trained and experienced in screening, assessment, and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.
