Job Duties
- Manages nursing staff and clinical support team members directly or indirectly.
- Steps into daily staffing role, as needed.
- Identifies and analyzes trends across services in customer satisfaction and patient experience, clinical quality outcomes, patient safety and cost; uses data systematically to develop solutions and guide change in practices.
- Collaborates to understand external market financial, economic, and industry data identifying market opportunities and threats.
- Provides leadership and actively contributes to the design and implementation of clinically and fiscally responsive program goals and objectives.
- Formulates recommendations for continuous improvement taking into account market demands, regulatory standards, patient safety, and changes in clinical practice.
- Collaborates with other internal staff members to identify, reduce, and eliminate barriers within the system which may negatively impact cost and quality of services.
- Coordinates mandatory clinical education and plans in-services and education within the practice in collaboration with clinical services.
- Takes responsibility for providing a positive learning environment for staff, students, interns, and residents collaborating with academic programs, while ensuring patient safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing as an RN
- 5 years Recent experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to take initiative and function independently, as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent computer skills including electronic medical record (EMR), word processing (Microsoft Word), PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledge of best clinical practices.
- Mature emotional intelligence.
- Time management skills.
- Project management skills.
Physical Demands
- Lift and carry 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting/standing.
- Frequent keyboard use.
- Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
