Clinical Manager

About the role

Full-time, in-office position as a registered nurse clinical manager with Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S. This role focuses on delivering patient care in the comfort of their homes while managing clinical operations and staff.

Responsibilities

• Recommend employment decisions (hire, fire, promote, or change status) for staff to the director of operations.
• Ensure overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility/suitability for home care services.
• Coordinate patient referrals and admissions with intake.
• Oversee scheduling, payor verification, and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation to resolve missing, incomplete, or untimely issues.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing the Plan of Care (POC).
• Regularly evaluate patient needs and revise the plan of care in collaboration with clinicians.
• Provide direct patient care on an infrequent basis during emergencies.
• Participate in the on-call process.
• Train staff to ensure quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Investigate and resolve patient, family, or physician concerns.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current RN license specific to the state(s) of assignment.
• Minimum of one year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• Minimum of one year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay

Attractive annual pay range of $87,000 to $95,000, varying by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
