About the role
The Clinical Liaison evaluates patients to determine if they meet admissions criteria, prepares development plans, conducts outreach calls, and presents to potential referral sources. This position integrates company values into daily practice.
Responsibilities
- Conducts proper pre-admission patient evaluations in a timely manner.
- Maintains assigned sales territory and develops, implements, evaluates, and refines territory sales plans based on data, trends, market needs, and facility needs.
- Coordinates marketing and public relations activities such as conferences, exhibits, seminars/in-services, advertising, media relations, and government relations as assigned.
- Effectively tracks sales activity, maintains client profiles, and ensures compliance with company standards.
- Participates in program development initiatives as assigned.
- Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by assessing risks and implementing appropriate precautions.
- Complies with approved safety and infection prevention standards.
- Maintains regular attendance in keeping with the assigned work schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support overall organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- 3 years of healthcare experience required; healthcare sales experience preferred.
- Clinical licensure required (RN, RT, LVN, PT, OT, SLP preferred).
- Must maintain a valid, acceptable driving record, current driver’s license, and insurability.
Skills
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Understanding of patient mix, regulatory requirements, reimbursement, and their impact on hospital operations.
- High degree of customer service and professionalism.
- General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection prevention standards.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with others at all organizational levels.
Physical Requirements
- A significant amount of standing, sitting, and driving, often for prolonged periods.
- Lifting or exerting up to 25 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Ability to hear overhead pages.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and a computer keyboard.
- Close vision with the ability to adjust focus.
