Clinical Liaison (CL), Inpatient Rehabilitation

About the role

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced a loss of function due to an injury or illness. We offer intensive, patient-focused, specialized rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
• Affix and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process
• Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicate to patients and family’s rehabilitation and facility options
• Communicate to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient’s expectations and requirements for participation
• Secure information relating to patients’ resources and benefits
• Function as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities

Requirements

• Must have a Clinical Licensure
• Must have a bachelor's degree
• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training preferred
• Valid driver's license
