About the Role
In this highly visible, challenging, and rewarding position, you will assume a leadership role developing and nurturing professional relationships with case managers, physicians, and clinicians in acute care hospitals. You will educate staff, patients, and families regarding rehabilitation services provided by our rehabilitation hospital, assess patients with rehab diagnoses on-site at referring hospitals for admission, and manage the referral process.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs.
- Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities.
- Coordinate care plans with physicians and families using clinical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-acute care.
- Create target lists of contacts and decision-makers in assigned hospitals.
- Develop relationships, provide excellent customer service, and educate referral sources on services provided by the hospital.
- Demonstrate positive referrer satisfaction and account retention.
- Educate potential patients and families on acute rehabilitation and benefits of program(s).
- Distribute collateral materials appropriately.
- Support Sales and Marketing through educational programs, tours, meetings, etc., in assigned hospitals.
- Develop strategies to grow market share in core business lines in assigned hospitals.
- Create quarterly goals and objectives and submit them to supervisor.
- Work with VP/Director of Business Development to identify opportunities for expansion of strategic business initiatives.
Requirements
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Multi-state licensure required based on geographical territory.
- Must exercise sound judgment in handling the professional/confidential nature of healthcare sales.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role.
- Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process, including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or another post-acute care setting.
- Proven track record in sales and marketing with at least one year of experience in a related position.
Pay
Competitive base salary with uncapped monthly bonus incentives in addition to base salary.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus rotating weekend shift.
