About the Role

Working in an assigned territory or facility, the Clinical Liaison facilitates referrals to the agency by gathering and interpreting medical and financial data, meeting with patients and families, and working with case managers to ensure optimal transition from hospital or other facilities to home. This role meets or exceeds expectations for growth goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers (patients, families, referral sources, vendors, community, and internal staff) by meeting their expectations with courtesy, tact, and knowledge of agency services.
  • Visits traditional and non-traditional referral sources to:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources in the community and associated organizations.
    • Call on assigned healthcare institutions with frequency as determined by supervisor and follow target accounts.
    • Consistently meet or exceed goals set by the Marketing Director.
    • Submit reports to the Marketing Director highlighting accomplishments and concerns for the week as requested.
    • Maintain a minimum of forty-five (45) face-to-face contacts per week and five (5) contacts by other methods.
  • Stays abreast of changes and marketing opportunities within assigned territories and shares information with supervisor. Actively seeks out new traditional and non-traditional referral sources.
  • Participates in public speaking engagements, aids with special events, and assists with special projects such as National Home Care Month, direct mail marketing, and public relations articles.
  • Supports agency fund development efforts by attending fundraising events, identifying prospective clients and donors, and inviting donors to participate in agency fundraising.
  • Staffs agency booths or exhibits at trade and community fairs as directed.
  • Educates healthcare professionals and patients/families on agency capabilities using available resources, conducting a minimum of six (6) in-service training sessions per year.
  • Initiates the referral-to-admission process for each patient by facilitating required data and leveraging resources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Meets with other Community Liaisons unless excused by the Marketing Director.
  • Demonstrates an interest in personal and professional growth by attending workshops, seminars, and webcasts, and conducting individual reading and research.
  • Uses agency resources cost-effectively, monitors waste, and ensures the proper and safe use of supplies and equipment.
  • Adheres to 3HC's Personnel Policy and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree preferred; professional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.
  • RN preferred.
  • Previous experience in marketing, sales, or related healthcare required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrated successful negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
  • Proficiency in technology for internal and external communications, presentations, database tracking/reporting, and spreadsheet applications.

Schedule

Monday through Friday (Carteret/Onslow County, Pollocksville, North Carolina).
