Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MT) - Generalist

About the role

Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a high-complexity diagnostic lab, performing and validating tests across biochemical, blood bank, hematology, microbiology, and urinalysis disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-complexity testing
• Analyze and report results using LIS
• Ensure quality control
• Monitor and calibrate lab instruments
• Participate in proficiency testing
• Assist with specimen processing
• Communicate critical test results promptly
• Collaborate with medical staff for blood bank and tissue services
• Mentor and train new technical staff

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Technology or related sciences
• Active NYS license
• Preferred ASCP certification
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with laboratory automation and computerized applications
• Ability to communicate technical data effectively under pressure
