Pay
Expected pay for this position is $25.35 - $29.82/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
- Sign-on Bonus:
- 1 year: $4,500
- 2 years: $9,000
- 3 years: $18,000

About the Role
The Clinical Laboratory Technician I performs a variety of laboratory testing to aid in the diagnosis of disease. Duties include performing quality control, preventive maintenance on equipment, and minor troubleshooting with referral of complex issues to senior employees. Duties may also include specimen collection, training personnel, and students. Independent judgment and professional education and certification are required.
Requirements
- An associate's degree as a Clinical Laboratory Technician with the successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification CLT exam or obtained within the first year of employment.
- Alternative associate degrees are acceptable with successful completion of ASCP or AMT CLT Certification exam prior to employment.
- Certification: CLT (ASCP or AMT).
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous lab experience.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously with good organizational skills, judgment, and technical skills.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with physicians and other clinical personnel when responding to routine inquiries and reporting laboratory results.
- Analytical skills necessary to interpret routine tests, recognize abnormal test results, and troubleshoot equipment.
- High level of professionalism and skillful performance in stressful situations.
