Role: Clinical Laboratory Operations Manager overseeing daily operations of a high-complexity clinical genetics laboratory. Responsibilities Ensure efficient, reliable laboratory workflows and monitor departmental performanceManage staffing, capacity, and escalate issues to leadership as neededMaintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards, ensuring inspection readinessLead, coach, and develop supervisory staff and laboratory personnelIdentify workflow improvements and support implementation of new processes and technologies Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyOver 10 years of clinical laboratory experienceMore than 5 years in supervisory or management rolesAt least 2 years in high-complexity clinical labs, with preferred experience in NGS-based genetic testing, molecular diagnostics, laboratory automation, and high-throughput operationsFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma (preferred)
