Clinical Laboratory Director
Position Summary
The Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics of the Indiana University School of Medicine is recruiting a Board-certified/Board Eligible M.D., or MD/PhD, or PhD for a Clinical Laboratory Director role in the Division of Diagnostic Genomics and Therapeutics. We are soliciting applications from outstanding candidates with demonstrated experience in both Clinical Molecular and Cytogenetic laboratory diagnostics.
About the Role
The Division of Diagnostic Genomics and Therapeutics includes five CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited clinical laboratories which together make up the IU Genetic Testing Laboratories. These include: Molecular Genetics, Cytogenetics, Pharmacogenomics, Biochemical Genetics and Diagnostic Genomics, which performs high-throughput Next-Generation Sequencing. The successful candidate will participate in a busy and expanding diagnostic laboratory service, which offers prenatal, constitutional and oncology services for University and state-wide patient care.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a busy and expanding diagnostic laboratory service, offering prenatal, constitutional and oncology services for University and state-wide patient care.
- Participate in the ACGME-accredited Laboratory Genetics and Genomics fellowship training program and train residents and graduate students as part of the departmental teaching mission.
Requirements
- Certification (or eligibility) by the ABMGG in both Clinical Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics, or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, is required.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Terminal degree required.
- ABMGG board certification or board eligibility is required.
