Clinical Laboratory Assistant II PRN
About the Role
Performs various functions relative to laboratory testing, including clerical and computer functions, specimen accessioning and processing, a variety of phlebotomy techniques, assisting with other specimen collections, and performing specified waived testing as required. Represents the organization in inpatient or outpatient settings, serving as the liaison between clients (patients, physicians, nursing, etc.) and laboratory departments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Associates Degree (Preferred)
- ASPT or ASCP Certification (Preferred)
- Experience in a health care setting as a Laboratory Assistant, Phlebotomist, or Clerk (Required)
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment (Preferred)
