Clinical Lab Technologist - Clinical Mass Spec Lab - Contractor Only

Responsibilities

Performs analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients.

Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Tests performed include highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.

• Instrument operation and maintenance
• Assists with interpreting results
• Operational support activities to optimize testing

Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.

May work with minimal supervision and may assist with specimen collection.

Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals and other hazards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science is required.
• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems is desirable.
• Capable of producing accurate results under time constraints, multi-tasking, and performing in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others.
• Able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments.

Schedule

• Full Time
• Hours/Pay Period: 80
• Schedule Details: Wednesday - Saturday; 10:00pm - 8:30am. 4 10-hour night shifts
• Weekend Schedule: Saturday; 10:00pm - 8:30am
