About the role
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist independently performs routine and special diagnostic procedures on blood and other body fluids from patients of all age groups.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and special diagnostic procedures on blood and other body fluids from patients of all age groups.
- Manages stressful situations with tact and simultaneously delivers good patient care.
- Maintains exceptional organizational ability and demonstrates advanced problem-solving skills.
- Works under extremely busy conditions and provides on-call coverage.
- Communicates verbally, in writing, and electronically with colleagues and patients.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and exhibits courtesy and tact.
Requirements
- One year experience as a generalist clinical laboratory scientist in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Baccalaureate in Medical Technology or equivalent.
- Current national certification required.
- Montana State Licensure as CLS required within six (6) months from the date of hire.
