Clinical Lab Scientist - Per Diem
About the role
The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Per Diem / Evening position at Corona Regional Medical Center supports the operation of the Laboratory by performing specialized tasks involving medical laboratory testing. Reporting to the Senior C.L.S./Supervisor, this role assists in training and orientation of new technologists, directs work of laboratory assistants and auxiliary personnel, and maintains working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs and reports results of tests and assumes responsibility for accuracy.
- Affords assistance in training and orientation of new technologists.
- Directs work of laboratory assistants and auxiliary personnel.
- Maintains working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
- Understands and complies with all quality control policies.
Qualifications
- Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required.
- 1 year experience in hospital or clinical lab.
