Clinical Lab Scientist - Cell Therapy Program - Full-time/Days

Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses at a highly proficient level and serves as a resource to coworkers for complex problem solving within the scope of the procedures performed in the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, point of care testing (POCT), and histopathology.
• Performs laboratory procedures related to Cell Therapy Laboratory (CTL) activities, including handling and processing of cell therapy products.
• Conducts quality control, quality assurance, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Maintains required documentation and records.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the CLS Training Program and Cell Therapy training programs as opportunities arise.
• Functions as section in-charge and/or CLS In-Charge of the laboratory when supervisors are not present.
• Serves as the CTL CLS-In-Charge in the absence of supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree consistent with State of California CLS Licensure requirements (required).
• Master’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
• CLS - Clinical Lab Scientist License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required).
• Minimum two (2) years full-time equivalent clinical laboratory experience (required).
• Minimum one (1) year full-time equivalent clinical experience in pediatrics (preferred).
• Minimum five (5) years of increasing knowledge, skills, and responsibilities (preferred).

Pay

$50.21 - $72.75 per hour.

Schedule
