Technical skills and knowledge

• Maintains instrumentation and work area
• Maintains quality control and calibration functions

• Provides training and assesses competencies
• Consistently completes testing within established time frames

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent
• Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988

Experience

• Four (4) years of laboratory experience as an MLT/HT (internal CLS2); OR
• Two (2) years of laboratory experience as a MT/HTL (internal CLS3)
• Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience

Licensure and certification

• Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent

Compensation

• $26.77–$43.71 per hour depending on previous experience
• Position qualifies for $2.50 per hour PRN differential
