Clinical Lab Associate, Lab Service Center - Registry, Rotating Shift

About the role

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, as a Clinical Lab Associate (Phlebotomist) in the Flossmoor Laboratory department.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, order entry, central processing, EKG’s, performing laboratory testing, and assist with DOT’s and BAT’s as needed.
• Process human specimens for delivery to specific laboratory departments for testing.
• Utilize interactive processes which will contribute to exceeding the expectations of patients, physicians, families or significant others in the provision of high-quality, cost-effective care and treatments.
• Ensure outpatients receive excellent customer service when presenting at the laboratory for specimen collection.
• Ensure proper registration and ordering of tests.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of accredited phlebotomy course or program.
• AHA CPR Certification.

The Lab Service Center is available for urgent or standard result times. We can analyze specimens at the cellular, chemical, endocrinological or immunologic levels.

Pay

Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.

Schedule

Rotating Days/Evenings as needed & every other weekend. Schedules may vary depending on the week, but you will be scheduled to work on weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) only every other week.
