About the Role

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisor or other appointed individual, this temporary position will be responsible for fulfilling responsibilities according to the Internship Syllabus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the assigned manager to establish duties in adherence to the course syllabus.
  • Establish a work project within the calendar period as outlined in the syllabus.
  • Follow the policies and procedures of the internship site.
  • Comply with procedures for reporting absences in case of illness.
  • Adhere to agreed attendance times, including being prompt for daily starting and ending times.
  • Record daily time commitments (minimum of 10 hours/week within a 2-day/week schedule, totaling 120 hours).
  • Attend the required orientation conducted by the worksite.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the site supervisor to discuss highlights and challenges.

Education and Experience

Attending college/university in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in psychology, business, marketing, clinical, or other professional area of expertise.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Follows deadlines and manages multiple tasks.
  • Takes initiative and can manage own workload.

Work Environment

May work in various environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or outpatient facilities. Spends much time actively working with patients.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

Travel is not expected for this temporary role.

Former Patient Statement

A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment. Former patients may be considered for employment at other RCA locations within a year after treatment.

State Specific Responsibilities

  • Follow organizational cybersecurity policies, including acceptable use, password management, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Immediately report suspected security incidents, unauthorized access, or data breaches.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of PHI and adhere to the principle of least privilege.
