Clinical Instructor, Radiology

About the role

The Radiology Clinical Instructor plays a critical role in delivering didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical education and rounding of students for the hospital-based Radiology Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Supports student success, competency-based clinical experiences in alignment with JRCERT accreditation standards, ARRT requirements, and hospital imaging practices.
• Works closely with the Radiologic Technology Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, students, and program faculty to create a supportive classroom and clinically relevant learning environment.

Requirements

• Required ARRT certification and registration in Radiography (R), in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Two (2) years of clinical experience in radiography.
• One (1) year of clinical teaching or precepting experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in education, Health Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in a hospital-based academic setting.
• Familiarity with clinical scheduling, learning management systems, and accreditation documentation.
• Knowledge of JRCERT standards and clinical education best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, faculty, and clinical staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, clinical tracking software (e.g., Trajecsys, EXXAT), and hospital systems (e.g., Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)/ Radiology Information System (RIS)).
