About the Role
The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks applications to fill non-tenure-track, Clinical Instructor faculty wage positions. We seek RNs with clinical experience in the specialty areas of (but not limited to) pediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatric-mental health, community/public health, general medical or surgical specialty.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of students in the clinical practice setting and possibly the Clinical Simulation Learning Center (CSLC)
- Evaluation of required written work
Qualifications
- A degree at the Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral level in nursing or related field is required
- Strong commitment to teaching and mentorship
- Eligibility for RN licensure in Virginia where applicable
- To teach in the APRN program: eligibility for Virginia nurse practitioner licensure, prescriptive authority, and national certification
- Two years of clinical nursing experience is required
- Teaching experience is preferred
Position Details
- This is an at-will faculty wage position that does not carry benefits
- Positions will be filled on an ongoing basis according to curriculum needs
