Overview
Indiana University Health is seeking a clinically experienced, self-driven, and relationship-focused informaticist to join their Clinical Informatics team at Ball Memorial Hospital. This role supports clinical informatics operations and provides critical at-the-elbow and virtual support to nurses and providers.

Shift: Full time, Monday – Friday, onsite
Location: Muncie, IN (Ball Memorial Hospital)
The Scope
This role supports clinical informatics operations at Ball Memorial Hospital, including:
- Providing "at the elbow" support and rounding for nurses and providers in inpatient areas
- Delivering hybrid support, physical presence on-site and virtual support via email and remote channels
- Triaging issues across Legacy Cerner and Epic simultaneously during transition
- Supporting the Epic hard cutover go-live
- Supporting data analytics and quality of care measures to improve population health outcomes
- Utilizing clinical nursing and process knowledge to facilitate the design, validation, and implementation support of clinical information system components
- Identifying and addressing workflow gaps to improve efficiency and incorporate quality measures
- Participating in the development and execution of clinical integration and improvement strategies
- Communicating and promoting informatics best practices to clinical staff and medical executive committees
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, RN preferred
- Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active RN license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Dietitian, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist, or other)
- 3-5 years of clinical experience required
- Previous experience in data systems is required
- Informatics related certification, or willingness to obtain certification within one year of employment
