About the role
This role involves leading and developing translational and clinical research projects utilizing ultra-high field MRI, particularly at 7T, focusing on areas such as pharmacologic MRI, cancer imaging, psychiatry, or neuroimaging applications.
Responsibilities
- Designing, conceptualizing, and leading research studies involving advanced MRI techniques
- Writing protocols, acquiring and analyzing research data
- Publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at scientific conferences
- Fostering collaborations with internal and external researchers
- Supervising students and fellows, and establishing an independent, funded research program
- Providing educational and professional service through mentoring, committee work, and peer review
Qualifications and Skills
- PhD in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Science, or related fields
- Experience in medical imaging, especially MRI procedures and protocols
- Proven success in scientific research with peer-reviewed publications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and lead multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements
- Organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to impactful research in a fast-paced environment
